Featured stones for September and October

Labrodorite

A remarkable feldspar and quartz creation. Has an opalescent quality ranging in color from whites and greys with flashes of blue, peacock, gold and red that sparkle through when hit by light rays. This is a very powerful stone in addition to being an exceptionally beautiful one. Reasonably abundant and not too pricey. It energizes, protects and balances the aura. It is considered to be an open doorway to the knowledges of other planets, thus allowing one help from sources beyond the Earth plane. Helps one systematically to organize and utilize intuition and inner sight. Promotes an inner peace by helping to remove negative perceptions, thus allowing one to see things as they really are. My personal perception of this stone is that it helps one see into the mysteries of life by sorting out illusions and disillusions so that one may see that which is truly beyond them. Helps to ride over pre-programmed misconceptions allowing one to view things from a universal or God-like perspective, thus providing a splendid use of not just knowledge, but wisdom. Tremendous improvement in one's sense of judgment. Helps remove personally imposed limitations and at the same time promotes patience and tranquillity. Recommended for eye disorders, brain malfunctions and mental confusion. This is a truly wonderful companion for those seeking psychic development - like having a good friend who always tells the truth.

Opalized Quartz (gerisol, lunar quartz)

Reminiscent of a high quality of moonstone but much clearer, very lustrous and shiny, having a moon-like translucence which is absolutely beautiful. Available in this area the past six months, it comes from Madagascar. Like a small kitten, your first impulse is to hug and stroke it. The energies are both soft and warm, and give the illusion of it being pliable. Moving inside of it during meditation provides one with a floating, peaceful sensation that offers the user the added benefit of being invisible to the unwanted energies of others. This allows one to rebuild strength and composure (stress relief) to cope with the hectic third-dimensional world. Upon spinning an egg of it, I noticed that it made me feel like Jello, teaching the lesson of flexibility . This lesson is very useful to those who are stiff and inflexible in life, teaching one innumerable ways to reach one's objective by simply taking advantage of opportunities offered. The final thing that I learned from this treasure is that it has additional lessons for even the most advanced being. Long and diligent meditation with this delightful gift is rewarded with the art of shape shifting. I would advise one to keep pyrite close by, though, as this feeling is so enjoyable that one doesn't try very hard to return to the physical. Functioning in this mode is a severe hindrance where grounding is absolutely essential.
