This number puzzle is a 9X9 grid made up of  81 cells. The cells in turn make up nine  3X3 subgrids called regions. Some cells already contain numbers, known as “givens”. The goal is to fill in the empty cells, one number in each, so that each column, row, and region contains the numbers 1 through 9 exactly once. Each number in the solution therefore occurs only once in each of three “directions”, hence the “multiple isolations” implied by the puzzle’s title.

Complete the above puzzle correctly, mail in your “originals only” (no copies please) to this month’s Sponsor below with a contact name and phone number. All correct puzzles will be put into a drawing that will take place the first buisness day the following month. The Grand Prize Winner will be posted on that Sponsor’s web site as well as New Times Naturally!’s site, along with the correct solution. Tear out this page, keep the recipes and send the puzzle today. It costs nothing to enter. Only one winner per household, per month, numbers must be legible and in ink. New Times Naturally! is not responsible for determinining winners, or ensuring prizes are delivered or received.
