Our passage from passive observers to
active participants in the human movement towards greater understanding,
openness, spirituality and health has placed us at the front of a
raft going down a never ending river. Many things come at us each
day, some very fast, some slow. Many are wonderous individuals with
vision, dedication and courage who help guide and mold others so that
they too may help themselves and others, in turn.
I look forward to 2006; the potentials and possibilities. I have a
vision for this magazine. I can only hope that it is true to source
and that I am able. The many advertisers, authors and readers who
talk, and walk, the path are my mentors, counselors and spirit guides.
The inherent strength and increasing number of these individuals will
help guide us all down the path of growth and understanding.
Yes, there are many “Passages” in life, ones that hurt
and ones that help. We turn to our family, our brothers and sisters,
our neighbors and those we consider wise in times of need. We also
turn inside and look to ourselves, not so much for strength as for
understanding and wisdom.
In 2006, know that there is much good in the world. You know that
you can feel it, inside. Allow it to grow in you as you share throughout
this year. As a Jamaican wise man once said:
Be Happy!
To your health, growth and happiness,

Do you ever look back at the passages
you have already been through? The passage of youth, the passage
of being stupid, (some time between 15 and 25), the passage of perfect
looks, the passage of raising a family, etc? Do you remember when
you were 8 and could not believe anyone could be so old as 25? I
mean that is a quarter of a century! It seems that some passages
are just down right funny, a joke of some kind God is playing on
us. It’s hard to believe sometimes that we were once a different
person, someone we might not even recognize or acknowledge, but
was once real. I feel that I am phasing out of one passage now and
into another. The exiting one was busy, family focused only, and
not tapped into learning about and growing “me”. The
entering passage is one that is still very family focused but also
experiencing all there is around me in this natural, holistic world
and seeing myself in a more appreciative way.
Where are you now?
