IT’S A WRAP! By Cindi Matter
I look like a mummy, don’t I?
Yes, it looks totally ridiculous but the results were phenomenal.
I was asked if I’d like to try an all natural, mineral enriched
wrap at a place called Suddenly Slender. Why not? So off I went
to Safety Harbor, a beautiful and serene city, to meet Bonnie DiMartino,
the owner of Suddenly Ageless. An attractive, professional lady
with flawless skin. You’ll never believe her age! The atmosphere
is rustic with brick walls and very high, warehouse type, ceilings.
You can see the ducts winding through the building. It has a New
York City look.
Bonnie explains that The Body Wrap was researched and developed
by Founder, Victoria Morton, over 30 years ago and is the best form
of tightening and toning available. After a tour it’s time
for my wrap. They use soft, porous bandages, that have been soaking
in an exclusive solution of food-grade minerals.
Wearing panties and bra, Corina first measures all over my body.
She marks me so she knows where to measure again afterwards; very
precise. When she starts to wrap, she gives me a mineral solution
for me to drink. Tastes salty. It’s to help my body cleanse
on the inside as the wraps help draw impurities out. So, as you
can see, I’m wrapped up good. I am covered from the top of
my head to the tip of my toes. My chin and forehead are covered.
And my hands! Now, I thought I’d be lying down for an hour.
Well, there is no lying down or even sitting. I needed to be active
for an hour and basted every 15 minutes. I felt like a roast. Bonnie
has a Gazelle exerciser and a mini trampoline to keep active on.
The reason for constant movement is that it keeps the nodes actively
expelling the “junk”.
Before I knew it, the time had come to be unwrapped. The bandages
did not really bother me, but it felt good to get them off. Aaaah,
I shrunk to nothing! Not really, but after being measured again,
I had lost 14 inches all over. Not bad for 1 hours’ fun. My
skin felt so smooth and I had a lift in my attitude. Why, I asked
myself, do I feel happier? It became clear that it was because I
had just done something extraordinary for my body. Not just make-up
or a hair cut, but something to really help it inside. Doing healthy
things for my body always makes me happy! I could see some results
but it was not till the next day that I really saw results. My hips,
oh those hips, looked slimmer, as did my middle section and my skin
all over was a much smoother texture and looked, well…pretty.
It was good for my insides, but was really showing results on the
outside also.
Ok, now for the questions we all ask. Is it just retained water
that I am getting rid of? No, it is the impurities and excess water
that are being drawn out which can look pretty yucky on some people,
says Bonnie. How does it work on cellulite? Cellulite is nothing
more than water-logged fatty tissue. Customers who specifically
target cellulite ridden areas report visual improvement after being
wrapped. Can the wrap help after excess weight loss or pregnancy?
Yes, it takes time, but the wraps shrink and improve skin texture
for even extreme cases. Can it improve my face? Certainly! Part
of the process involves wrapping the face, as you can see on me.
A visibly lifted and younger look is achieved on the face and under
the chin. There is something called face–taping also that
helps wrinkled and “crepe” skin. How many wraps will
I need? Depends on the individual. You still need to eat healthy
and exercise between wraps. (You must always be responsible for
yourself.) The Body Wrap just helps you along. So, how many wraps
you might need, depends on what goal you are trying to achieve.
What to wear? Dress comfortably and bring a change of undergarments.
Remember, this is for women AND men. Many men have benefited from
The Body Wrap. So, get past the, “I look like a mummy”
fear and give The Body Wrap a try. I know I will be going back.
