Minerals from Mother Earth - by Judy Power
Apache Gold

A delightful black stone laced with beautiful veins of pyrite. Its finish
is satiny. The black mineral is steatite and, although this stone may be
found in some other places in the world, the only well known source is in
Texas. It was thought to be a stone of good luck by the Native American
who cherished it. Pyrite is a very grounding stone which helps one deal
with the physical here-and-now. It adds protection from the ill will of
others and helps to oxygenate the brain, encouraging clear thinking. Steatite
is a compact form of talc which may come in green, white, grey, brown or
black (apache gold only). It leads to the widening of one's horizons, opening
doors to new ideas, thoughts and directions. It is useful in stabilizing
electric energy, providing for a buffer from the interference of undesirable
outside interference and enabling the user to both send and receive psychic
messages more clearly. It improves the immediate environment and emits a
calming and peaceful energy allowing one to release old, tired routines
and create a more beneficial area in which to live. It helps one change
with the tide of things and accept new challenges. It is helpful in processing
intellect - making it more user-friendly. It is used in the treatment of
fat digestion and stimulates the liver and gall bladder for greater efficiency.
It is said to be somewhat useful for those trying to effect birth control
- although no one has ever written how this is to be done! It is not a particularly
expensive stone but does take of bit of effort to find - it is worth it
though.
Crysoprase

This is a wonderful form of chalcedony and is an apple green. It reminds
one of those great green mint candies one eats after a big meal. This stone
balances the yin-yang energy and aligns the chakras with the etheric plane.
It works especially well with the heart chakra while sending healing energy
to the physical body, facilitating the meditative state and filling one
with compassion and clemency. A non- judgmental state is emphasized along
with self-acceptance and a feeling of easy-going and getting-along - almost
a childlike happiness. It helps one to release the focus on self-imperfection,
become flexible and overcome difficult situations. Good for healing a broken
heart due to loss. Removes superiority and inferiority complexes. Helps
with the ability to verbally communicate and express oneself fluently. Promotes
honor and dedication in business affairs. Helps one assimilate vitamin C.
This stone allows the emotional, mental and physical to work in unison,
flowing smoothly for the betterment of the user.
