Minerals...from Mother Earth
by Judy Power
Jade

The two primary forms are jadeite and nephrite. (Lesser known is transvaal
jade.) It is associated with many cultures: Chinese, Mayan, Aztec, Indian,
Middle Eastern (Biblical). From the studies that I have delved into, it
has always been the stone of wisdom, although others have called it a 'dream
stone' and 'stone of fidelity'! Jadeite is found in forms of grains, masses
and, rarely, crystals, with colors ranging from greens, mauve, lavender,
white, brown, red, orange, yellow, gray, black and bluish-green. Caution:
most is color enhanced. Aztec and Mayan: stone of magic, protective, used
for manifesting. For them it represented status and good fortune. It may
be used to improve cohesiveness in groups and dedication to purpose. Helps
in mending bone and cell structure and for removing pain in sides and legs,
cramps and charlie horses. Nephrite: comprised of jade and actinolite forms
of botryoidal configurations, masses, and triangular nuggets. Colors are
all forms of green including green-grey, black, cream, tan, blue-gray and
pink. This is most common in the China area. It balanced male and female
energies. It also integrated the subtle energies of the universe into the
body helping to balance opposing energies of both the internal and external
energies of one's reality. It is used as a talisman for protection in the
South Pacific. The Chinese said that it blessed that which touched it. It
stimulates white blood cells to eradicate harmful substances within the
blood. Stimulates adrenal glands, thus regulating metabolism, treats colic
and brings about a sense of peace and tranquillity. When it is combined
within quartz crystals, accelerates remembering of past lives and others
that were part of them. Helps one to transcend to the third dimension. Thus
helping one to connect with others from both spiritual and astral realms.
The energy of this combination provides one with a well-traveled guide,
providing mythical arms to encompass all knowledge leading to wisdom. It
marks the end of separation and denial. Heals breeches within the chakra
system, filling voids with the light of love. It may be considered a pathway
to bliss!
Charoite

This substance, found mainly in Russia, appears usually as a mass, although
in reality it is a mass of minuscule crystals (druse) supported on another
mineral. The color is purple and pink-purple. It is rather pricey, selling
by the gram, but, oh, what a remarkable stone! Some call it the stone of
the age as it is truly a source of the greatest of spiritual teachers.
It synthesizes the heart and crown chakra with the higher spiritual dimensions
and unconditional love from the physical plane. I only know of one other
stone with such an impact and that is a real alexandrite. Helps one to understand
the negative vibrations of others and to facilitate the acceptance of others
unconditionally. Transmutes negativity and provides grounding to the spiritual
self. Assists in understanding self-inflicted lessons. It enhances a giving
nature, helping you to see with love and understanding the ALL! Instills
brotherhood of light between individuals and groups of people as well as
the environment of the planet. Stimulates flexibility and the art of letting
go. Enhances analytical and precision qualities with regard to the unknown.
Increases attention span and helps one to see through reality and fiction.
It is a stone of transformation between this world and other worlds and
a bestower of good! Helps with second sight and visioning. Treats eyes and
heart, allays headaches and general pains. Works with liver dysfunction
and pancreas. It also helps regulate blood pressure and pulse rate. In my
personal experiences with this stone, I have seen a very old and wise man
with a 'no-nonsense attitude'. He shields one as they learn but shows little
tolerance for those who do not come with a dedication to learning.
