Featured stones for July and August: Zincite and Kyanite

ZINCITE

This is an exciting crystal to add to your collection. Most often found as yellow, orange or red. It is extremely heavy and very beautiful in its crystalline form. While it can be found in New Jersey, some of the rarest and most costly is obtained from a smelting accident which occurred more than 60 years ago along the Polish-Hungarian border. The first time I ran into it I had placed about 9 pieces in a dish and the temperature of the room increased to the point of discomfort. It works to break through all blockages in the lower three chakras (sometimes making its possessor sweat a little). The effect is pretty quick. This is followed by a feeling of euphoria which is very pleasing. It can be quite a heady feeling. So many of us seem to only be interested in the upper chakras when simple logic tells you that all chakras must be cleansed and activated as well as balanced in order for one to work effectively. Of course, for those of us with lower blockages, this is definitely one of the most exciting and effective of stones available to us today. It stimulates creativity, enthusiasm and adds impetus to survival energies. It's truly an invigorating stone.

KYANITE

Usually found in twisted fibrous structures. Although found in white, green, yellow and pink in rare situations, it is most often available to us in blue and gray-black. Excellent for attunement, aligning all chakras with almost no effort. Provides for mental and emotional clarity and reasoning. Wonderful to use during meditation, providing a gentle and balanced energy while furthering all efforts in astral projection. Helpful in finding solutions during dream state as well as helping one to recall dreams. Moves energy through the ethereal plane into the physical plane. The black is somewhat harsher. Seemingly having a mind of its own it can also be difficult to control with respect to direction. The blue, on the other hand, is far more accommodating to access one's desires with respect to choice of direction. This gem is a fine one to use when trying to effect connections with angelic energies.
