Physical Regenerationby Zygmunt K. SkowronekOne definition of regeneration in Webster's dictionary is: "Renewal or restoration of a body or bodily part after injury or as a normal process". Without the process of regeneration, physically speaking, we as humans would not be able to exist. Why? Because the body would start to degenerate or die right away. The cells which make up the physical body would die by the millions each day - just as they do now in us - but there would be no possibility of replacement, no possibility of new growth, no possibility of regeneration. And, so, no human race. The number of cells would be finite: no replacement of used cells, no healing of diseased cells. Assuming outside dangers and diseases were not a factor, existence would depend upon the normal length of life of a cell in a given organ, muscle, etc. Dr. Erwin Gemmer in Who Stole America's Health! gives approximate lengths of life for different cells in our body: outer skin cell 1 to 2 days; heart cell 90 to 92 days; red blood cell 124 days; major muscle cell 14 months; bone cells 3.5 years etc. Dr. Jill Ammon-Wexler Ph.D. in Feel Young Again, states that "the cells lining your mouth are replaced every time you eat". Regeneration is a vital and necessary part of the life process, and the new cells being created must be of the highest quality in order to function properly. Is it possible for us to help our bodies in the process of regeneration, building only quality cells? And, if so, what can we do? Dr. John W. Apsley II in his book The genesis effect: spearheading regeneration with wild blue green algae, states: "Humans and animals regenerate at the cellular level. This means that proper optimum nutrients must be present inside as well as outside the immediate cells and tissues of both humans and animals". Therefore, the most important thing we can do is to provide optimum nutrients for our body's process of regeneration. This may sound simple but the vast majority of people fail to do this. Did you know that in 1936, more than 60 years ago, the US Government published Senate Document #264 which stated that millions of acres of US farmland, even at that time, no longer contained the proper nutrients in the soil for growing nutritious foods? Also, as recently as November 1997, the St. Petersburg Times ran an article entitled, Trace minerals missing from high-tech farming. The article mentions a book by Victor H. Lindler, You are what you eat in which it is said: "much of Earth's growing areas are becoming more nutrient-deficient" and that only "better grades of food nutritionally-speaking ensure superior performance". How does this affect you and your family? According to the US Surgeon General, 65% of all illness is nutritionally related. That means that two-thirds of your health problems may be due to improper or insufficient nutrients in the foods you eat every day. The US Public Health Department reported that only 1.5% of all Americans are actually healthy, which means that only 15 people out of 1000 are considered healthy. So, the chances are that you are not as healthy as you could be. To quote Dr. Ammon-Wexler again: "In a recent book entitled How we age the author cites one study after another that established some extremely alarming facts - more and more 20 and 30 year-olds are suffering from old-age disorders". The solution to these problems is based on the Natural Healing Model which states: Given optimum nutrition and personal care, our bodies will naturally maintain an optimum level of health. What about natural foods versus synthetic/artificial nutrients and extracts? And how about organic foods (no chemicals or pesticides)? You can't beat Mother Nature. However, the words "natural" and "organic" have many different meanings depending on the local, state and federal definitions. Companies with multi-million dollar "muscle" have influenced the wording of the definitions. Also, science does not know everything about Nature, food and nutrients! To quote Dr. Apsley again: "We know that people fed from synthetically-treated soils, generation after generation, will quickly develop chronic degenerative diseases. Fundamentally, the micro-organisms, which are more important for the liberation of nutrients into plants than the fertilizers, cannot grow very well in synthetically prepared soils". He further references W. Ebelings' work entitled The relation of soil quality to the nutritional value of plant crops: "The examples of chronic degenerative diseases being caused by synthetically-raised soils (which must necessarily eventually lead to trace-mineral deficiencies) in man are heart disease, cancer and growth problems, among others". Remember, we physically came from Nature and everything that we need physically is already in Nature. That is why natural whole-foods (not extracts) that are organic, and wild-grown in soil that is not "improved" by modern farming methods are probably the only sources of Nature's nutritive balance and proper ratio that is left for us to eat without any "side-effects" that over time may be detrimental to our health and that of our family. And a person does not have to know anything about nutrition in order to benefit, because the body's intelligence knows exactly what it is getting and knows how to use the natural and balanced nutrients in Nature's whole-foods. It is automatic. Zygmunt K. Skowronek is an independent Cell Tech distributor (Super Blue Green Algae) residing in Redington Shores, Florida. Voice mail (24 hrs) 1-800-927-2575, x3975.
