A transition is a change of place, state, stage or style.
The word is used as a euphemism for the change that occurs at death. The word "death" at this time is considered "morbid" as a topic for dialogue. . . dying or death in any book title will repel many people.
Each one of us can welcome change and make transitions from one home to another home, from one state of mind or consciousness to another state of consciousness, one "life-style" to a changed style, one set of friends to another group.
We can make the transition from being a cultural group member to an independent who is above the polarizations of groups . We can transit many cultural groups, and find one more suitable to our needs, wants and desires.
Using transition as a euphemism for death, we translate it to mean passing over into an other world. . . leaving this mortal world of finite forms that are born and die, into a world of immortal forms. . . putting on a soul body to replace the temporal mental body of our personal history of the past.
But we do not have to wait until the physical ceases to live we can make the transition into a soul body here and now. From that body which is "androgynous" (both genders in one body) we can rise above the polarity of oppositions in the historical mind. I offer a cultural transition to a Polynesian lifestyle here and now.
In our culture "dualism" as a foundation for belief is the monarch (each suffix -ism represents an ideology a belief structure). Dualism believes in the enduring war between good and evil. Duality is a principle or law that says all creation requires a pair of opposites who are "complementary" to each other, and harmonious when working together.
The "triarchal mind" has three parts . One is masculine, positive, large, heavy, and serious. One part is feminine, negative, very small, and light weight. The third part is the largest part and it can be either neutral, without any power, or the combined creative principles of positive/negative forces. Both in one is the soul, which most of us are unaware of. . . out of touch with.
In Polynesia the soul was considered the best for it was the creator or "parent" of all spirits, male and female, all archetypal gods and goddesses. . . all types emanate from the parent soul, the One Self with the capital "S" that specifies the differences between the One Self and the many selves.
In Hermetics we find the One Mind in relationship to the many minds. As above in the macro mind, so below in the micro mind of each of us. Mind is mortal Soul is immortal. Our mind is the creation of the two spirits, "kanaka" (both "ka" or in Egypt the "ba" bodies) and when two spirits are connected by the soul instead of a common mind, the word is "kamaka", "ka-ma-ka".
I offer you the Huna of Max Long, brought up-to-date for the present needs. We must make the transit from mind to soul to leave this warlike culture with its polarized enemies we can no longer afford to support that using the Polynesian words as symbols and images for the transition to an individual with an immortal soul from an individual with a mortal mind.
